Immigration as a Left-Wing Political Strategy

The far-left’s Democrat Party alliance with illegals and refugees will move full-speed ahead to implement the Palmieri electoral plan. They will fight tooth-and-nail to defeat Goodlatte’s bill because they aren’t interested in solving the problem. They want to exacerbate the situation, so they can continue to pack the electorate with supporters of welfare-state-based policies. If successful, it would have the real potential to lock in the immigrant-refugee vote and transform the United States of America, as then-Senator Barack Hussein Obama proclaimed just prior to the 2008 presidential election.

Speaking at the University of Missouri on Thursday, October 30, 2008, Senator Barack Hussein Obama proclaimed, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Little did we realize at the time that such transformation would take place through the wholesale importation, both illegally and legally, of massive numbers of third-world peoples crossing our southern border with Mexico and entering the United States of America at international airports all across the nation only to be dispersed, settled, and supported by U.S. taxpayers – all under the watchful gaze of the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton’s Department of State, which managed the largely Middle Eastern refugee flow into the country.

The Obama administration’s encouragement of illegals, including children, over our southern border led to the president’s creation in 2012 of the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) program. Short of being given a pathway to citizenship, it offered protection from deportation, along with permits to work legally in the United States.

Today, these so-called “Dreamers” have become the battle cry of the Pelosi-Schumer Democrat Party seeking new voters, along with maintaining the current state of U.S. immigration law, through chain migration and the visa lottery system with the intention of securing a growing Democrat power base for decades to come.

The Democrats, now controlled by the “hate America” extreme left wing of their party, have their future revolutionary strategy to transform America, in the words of Barrack Obama, by means of massive immigration – illegal and legal combined. They propose to import clients—immigrants—and give them U.S. citizenship in exchange for welfare benefits and support at the ballot box.

This cat was let out of the bag in a January 8, 2018 confidential memo by Jennifer Palmieri of the left-wing organization Center for American Progress. Palmieri was one of Hillary Clinton’s top advisors during her failed 2016 presidential campaign.

“If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers,” Palmieri wrote, “that will jeopardize Democratic electoral chances in 2018 and 2020.” In other words, if the Democrats can’t grant the illegal DACA Dreamers U.S. citizenship they can’t be seduced into supporting the Democrat Party and its candidates in future elections. Figures on the DACA Dreamers vary from close to 700,000 to around 3 million. Whatever the number, the Democrats see them as “their” voters, conned by welfare handouts and preferential job policies.

Democrats want to “pack” the American electorate the way FDR wanted to pack the Supreme Court during the 1930s. In short, the leftist-Democrat Party wants to import foreigners to vote for its political agenda and candidates. In this case, that would be those of the solidly extreme left-wing of the Democrat Party.

Examining six key states including resident DACA Dreamers shows the number of Electoral College votes at stake and the potential danger posed by this leftist-Democrat revolutionary strategy to our constitutional republic. Incidentally, the two states with the largest number of DACA Dreamers are California and Texas—one Blue State and one Red State.

State Dreamers Electoral College votes
California 379,000 55
Texas 211,000 38
Florida 72,000 29
Arizona 47,000 11
North Carolina 47,000 15
Georgia 41,000 16
Total Electoral College Votes……164

These six states alone account for well over half the number required to elect their far-left candidate to the White House. It only takes 270 electoral votes to win. California is already solidly Democrat. Subtracting it from the chart above still demonstrates the danger. Removing California reduces the electoral count to 109, amounting to almost 40 percent of the required 270 needed of the 538 electoral vote total. This also doesn’t take into account the existing solid Democrat states such as New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and most of the New England states.

Given these harsh facts, it is no wonder Pelosi, Schumer, and Palmieri want Democrats to push hard for granting these illegal’s U.S. citizenship. If granted citizenship and using chain migration, thousands of future left-wing voters could be added to the Democrat’s voter rolls.

This strategy also explains the vitriolic hostility toward Trump’s border wall. Building the wall would staunch the invasive flow of illegals arriving steadily across our porous southern border, thus depriving the left of future voters.

There is a step to U.S. citizenship already available to young Dreamers by joining the military. Few have taken that route. Of the 650,000 current DACA Dreamers only 900 have joined.

Conservatives are countering with their bill, HR-4760, introduced by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA). The Goodlatte, McCaul, Labrador, McSally immigration legislation would, among other things, grant many of these illegal’s a 3-year renewable green card visa, but confer no citizenship rights that would include the right to vote. This is nothing more than a guest workers approach, which is not a bad idea as it solves concerns by agriculture and other businesses utilizing temporary workers. Escaping immediate deportation, the so-called Dreamers would maintain legal status in the U.S. with the opportunity to return to their home countries and correct their situation by going to the back of the line and entering the United States legally and properly.

Other aspects of the bill would require businesses to use the E-Verify system to ensure they are hiring legal workers. The bill also makes it easier to deport gang members engaged in illegal activity. It would also end chain migration and the Diversity Visa program and deny federal funds to sanctuary cities. These are all good actions to take. President Trump indicates he supports Goodlatte’s proposed legislation.

A criticism of the bill comes not from the left which is expected, but from those who are taking the slow, but legal path, to U.S. citizenship. They rightly feel Goodlatte’s bill favors the illegal DACA Dreamers at the expense of those who are using the normal, but slow, legal path to American citizenship. They feel the DACA Dreamers have cut in front of them in the line to obtain U.S. citizenship. There is merit to their concern.

What is not in doubt is that the far-left’s Democrat Party alliance will move full-speed ahead to oppose HR-4760 and attempt to implement the Palmieri electoral plan.
